RKKW advises on MMI’s capital investment

The law firm RKKW has supported its client, the investment fund Vinci S.A. HiTech ASI SKA belonging to the BGK Group, on a PLN 33.36 million equity investment for the development of electric and hydrogen buses by MMI sp. z o.o..

The fund made a complex and multi-stage equity investment in MMI, and the funds raised are to be used by the company for technological development, based on the implementation of zero-emission electric buses and hydrogen buses, produced with innovative BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) and FCEV (Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle) alternative propulsion technology. The capital will be used by MMI to develop electric buses in three variants, including low-floor, low-floor and normal-floor vehicles. MMI, which reported a 3-fold improvement in its financial performance last year, exceeding PLN 70 million in sales revenue, expects to have a full range of minibuses within a maximum of three years. Technological development and the new type of vehicles are expected to allow the company to strengthen its position on the Polish market and expand its operations and current offerings in Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland and Scandinavia.

The Firm comprehensively supported the fund from the legal side from the beginning of the investment process. The firm’s lawyers first conducted legal due diligence on the company and prepared, negotiated and assisted in the conclusion of all transaction documents.
