Another success of RKKW’s Client – thousands of products with digital reproductions of Zdzisław Beksiński’s works have been withdrawn from sale on foreign platforms

The RKKW Law Firm caused the removal of offers of nearly 10,000 products with digital reproductions of Zdzisław Beksiński’s works from foreign online marketplaces. The entity with copyrights to the Artist’s works is the Historical Museum in Sanok. And the RKKW Law Firm is the exclusive representative of the Museum in matters concerning copyright infringements.

The products had digital reproductions of Z. Beksiński’s works on them without the required consent of the copyright holder, i.e. the Museum. In accordance with the contents of relevant regulations, the copyright holder has the exclusive right to grant a permit to reproduce these works. The offers were removed immediately after the marketplaces received calls to do so, with an indication that copyrights had been infringed.

The Museum was represented by legal advisors – Dr. Radosław Kwaśnicki and Aneta Pankowska – partners in the RKKW Law Firm. Another lawyer, Łukasz Gil, also participated in the case.
